Prof. Dr. Kate possesses a doctorate in Anthropology from University of Oxford. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta. Her expertise includes anthropology of gender, medical anthropology and anthropology of youth in Africa. Kate is a prolific writer, penning numerous journalistic pieces, business publications, as well as academic articles, in English and in French. She is currently a researcher at the Evolution, Complexity, Cognition group which is part of the Global Brain Institute. Kate has much experience researching and writing about iniquities suffered by girls and women due to structural violence. Kate is an ardent supporter of equal rights and is passionate about redressing gender inequalities.
