Jennifer is a nonprofit professional with over four years of experience in program development and support for U.S. and U.K. based nonprofit organizations focused on social justice causes. She has an MA in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews and an MSc in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh. Her MSc dissertation brought her to Uganda for six weeks, where she conducted research on behalf of a nonprofit working to improve primary education in predominantly rural communities. Through this research, she realized the stark difference in attendance and performance rates between boys and girls, with young girls having both lower exam scores and higher rates of absence. Jennifer firmly believes in the importance of equal access and opportunity to education and is excited to assist Uganda for Her Initiative to empower the girl child and her community in Uganda.
